Days are becoming shorter and the brisk, winter’s nights are beginning to settle here at the Dimpsey Hut; however, the Dimpsey Magic has not dwindled away like our summer weather. After being named after the half-light period in Somerset, Dimpsey, this is a perfect time of the year for us to start cosying up next to the log fire with a mug of hot chocolate to enjoy the Christmas festivities.
Imagine being able to escape from the business of your everyday life. Perhaps Christmas shopping has just started to take its toll as the holidays creep ever closer. But, as we all know, Christmas isn’t just about receiving the presents, and what better way to spend a day than playing games with the ones you love. Luckily, we have you covered with this, as in our hut we have vintage games to get you in the festive mood, such as the classic dominoes. Or listening to carols as you sit by the log burner and read your favourite book. Even waking up early and sitting on the Dimpsey hut steps to see in the seasonal sun rise, will start your day with a positive and jolly vibe.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without all the decorations and trimmings now would it? There is a little twist however at Dimpsey when it comes to decorations and your stay here with us. Seeing as Christmas is all about spending it with your loved ones, we believe that it should be your choice how you decorate the hut during your stay. Nothing can make it feel more homely than having your unique touch when it comes to putting the ornaments onto our Dimpsey Hut tree.
With winter and the holiday season, it is easy to forget about indulging in the luxuries that the colder months have to offer, and when we say luxuries, it doesn’t have to be the finest gifts around.
