We’ve had some wonderful visitors over 2016, and we weren’t surprised by the news this week that there has had a huge surge in people partaking in this outdoor trend. Apparently four in ten Britons spent a night in a tent, hut, yurt or caravan in 2016 as more than 17 million trips were taken. We’ve always believed at Dimpsey that there is much to be gained from taking time out and reconnecting with each other, and of course we adore our idyllic shepherd’s hut located at the foot of the Blackdown Hills.
