Regular Dimpsey followers will know that like the lands at the top of the tree in Enid Blyton’s Magic Faraway Tree book – the Dimpsey shepherd’s hut moves on to different looks regularly.

As June heralds Glastonbury Festival, held in Somerset at the end of the month, Dimpsey is getting her Festival on…with unique little touches to make things extra special for Glamping break guests over the Summer.

So what’s in-store?

Well, we have new festival styling in the hut with luxury cushions, throw and curtains from the lovely ladies at Winser and Hill curtains – bespoke designs incorporating vintage fabrics. For relaxing around the firepit whilst stargazing at the stunning Blackdown Hills skies and toasting marshmallows, we have a gorgeous festival blanket, hand made by Caroline Le Brun from shirt scraps and incorporating secret pockets for your phone and valuables.

Outside, no festival would be complete without outdoor cooked food, we’ve got that covered with our outdoor oven from the Garden Oven Comapny…think slow cooked beef from the farm, chargrilled vegetables, pizza…the list of culinary delights goes on – or we can deliver you a recipe basket of ingredients and you can try new recipes out at Dimpsey. We can also provide a festival picnic hamper on request.

Many boutique festivals now have wood-fired hot-tubs, so we are delighted to have installed a gorgeous wood-fired Hikki hot-tub at the shepherd’s hut – easy to use and perfect for relaxing – it’s the ultimate festival accessory this summer and you’ll have your very own at the Dimpsey Shepherd’s Hut.

Lastly, how could we have a festival without music? So, courtesy of a portable Crosley record player and some vinyls, Dimpsey will be getting her groove on inside the hut – feel free to suggest or bring records, or if that’s not your thing – find us on Spotify at Dimpsey_Glamping and listen to our playlists or upload one for us to listen to, we’d love to hear your music for the shepherd’s hut.
